NEW CARPET!

It’s done.

Finally.

Seriously, that was the longest, most tiring weekend I’ve had since we put in our own landscaping and sod.

It all started Thursday when I packed up a ton of junk from the office and brought it home. Did the same on Friday. Saturday got to the office around noon to get all of the frames out of the showcases and pick up everything that we could from the floor. Carpet guys were late. They finally showed up and we hung out for a while – T, K, & I held down the fort. But then we totally felt like we were in the way – with the carpet guys starting from both the back and the front, there was really no place for us to go, so we sauntered down to the Mexican restaurant and spent about 3 hours there – eating, drinking, trying to figure out how to rearrange our display cabinets. We checked in on the carpet guys a few times and basically tried to stay far enough away to be out of the way, but close enough for them to know we were around.  There were supposed to be 6 guys working – we had 3.  Needless to say, they didn’t get near as far as we assumed or hoped they would.   Sunday started at 9am and we finally got the majority of the office put back together by about 10:30pm.  It was absurd how much cleaning we had to do!!  Had we realized that the old carpet glue had turned to a dust worse than drywall dust, we would have put tarps over everything!  But we didn’t.  So we had to clean every surface more than once through the whole office.  <SIGH>  It was very overwhelming and exhausting.

But, it’s done.

And it looks FAB-U-LOUS!!!!!!  We were able to rearrange the display cases (that my dad always said couldn’t be moved), we got everything organized and cleaned and as of today, we even have a new fridge and a newly organized back (storage) room.

Tomorrow, I will actually get to do real work!!  (Well, after I hook up the radio and move our server….)
