Day 2

March 3, 2007 · 6 comments

Well, I have to say, this is starting out a lot better!  Woke up to hear Matt yelling for me that he needed help.  Found him in his bathroom, pee in the toilet, diaper (DRY) on the floor.  8O   He’s been in a pull-up since 7:30.  If he makes it a few more minutes, he gets a new Thomas train!  Trying a little reverse psychology on him this morning (like how we get him to eat) – I don’t think you can stay dry!  Oh yes I can! So far so good.  I’m sure it won’t last all day, but we’ll keep working on it!

Hey, whatever works!!! You definintely have to gear the \"training\" to your specific kid. What worked for others didn\'t work for us. The whole sticker chart thing, my kid could have cared less!! Stickers? Yeah whatever. Gimme some good stuff- toys and candy!!! Good luck and keep it up!!

Keep at it, Dawn. The train is something to look forward to but ithe excitement might wear off or your wallet might wear thin! I love reading about your adventure. Sorry I don\'t have any tips for potty training a boy. I remember Hannah started using the potty and then reverted but the excitement of pretty panties was enough to get her to try it again!
