I had an idea; a brainstorm, if you will, yesterday while hanging out with the boys. As you may already know, their collection of Matchbox/Hot Wheels and similar cars is LEGEN…(wait for it)…DARY. (And for the record, those pictures? WAY outdated in number of cars. WAY outdated. May have to try a new parking lot for evidence one day…).
Anyway, I had an idea to make a road for the boys. Something they could use on the floor or table or outside. Something that I could roll up and put away at will. I made a little drawing, took some measurements, made a list of materials and packed the boys up into the car to go to Joann.
A couple hours later (a trip to Target was included. And having both boys with me? Chaos! It’s been so long since I’ve had them both at the same time shopping with Matt in school!!) we made it back home with supplies and an idea spinning in my head.
The boys got in the bath, so I got started (don’t panic, Mike was with them!). My sewing maching got a hell of a workout last night!

Gifts for K
Here are some new sewing things I’ve been working on…I think I *might* be getting the hang of this!!
This is a grocery bag – it folds into a little square to make it easier to remember to take with!
Here is what it looks like opened. It’s the same size as those plastic bags from most grocery stores.
K loves all things personalized, so I made a couple of coffee cup cozies for her morning addiction. And since presentation is everything, I will actually get a coffee cup from Timmy Ho’s and put a gift card in it with the cozy on the outside.
