Yep, I’m behind a day, but I really wanted to do a potluck post this week and my intentions were totally there to get it done yesterday. But you know what they say, the road to actually posting a blog is paved with good intentions (er, or something like that).
So, without further ado….
Let’s see…this week, a very large pineapple, assorted red and green apples, a banana, two not-so-happy roma tomatoes and a soaker ball.
I sent mah bewbies to Lotus for her annual breast cancer fundraiser, aka Bewb Fest! PLEASE go here to read about this wonderful thing she does (every page visit makes more money via her ads and all of that money goes to breast cancer research! So while you’re there, stick around and check out her other posts – but be careful – she’s a super fabulous photographer and you may lose hours poking around!!)
And if you’re so inclined to vote (you can pick your favorite 3 and vote as often as you like), please vote for me…I don’t want to be the only one with no votes!! {And if you are involved as well, leave your number in the …
Potluck Monday on Tuesday, now with more bewbs!
Thursday Thirteen
Random stuff because I can’t seem to get it together enough to write a coherent post.
Preston was up 20 times last night and was fairly cranky all day. And then I realized, after a few, uh, productive sneezes, that he’s probably coming down with something. Ugh.
The boys have their T-Ball Opening Day Parade and then later, their first game, on Saturday. Weather forecast? 70% chance of thunderstorms. Ugh.
Today I cleaned out our spice cupboard, organized two other drawers and another kitchen cupboard.
I have a problem with instant gratification. The problem is that I neeeed it.
I’m ready to paint my entire house.
I think I have the paint color picked out for the kitchen. Just need to get it, get Mike to do moulding, and start painting.
I’ve also come up with a plan for disguising the blah that is the under of our deck – potted arborvitae! Need pots, dirt and plants!
Our veggies have been started inside and are almost ready to go outside – they are so tiny and cute!
Someone out there must have a trick to getting darker colored nail polish off fully. This colors-on-the-edges is very annoying.
My dad and Linda are back from Florida – the boys were so happy to …
A Day in the Life of Sock Dude
Long day(s)
Matt, who has been suffering from a croupy cough since Thursday night, woke us up at 6:30 this morning. SUNDAY MORNING. Preston was about about an hour and a half later (though he had been up all night with teh sick).
It’s only 11:30 and Mike just said, man, this is going to be a long day. I believe he’s right. I should be thankful, it gives me a great opportunity to get things accomplished. The problem? Getting up at 6:30 makes me want to accomplish a nap, not work or laundry or cleaning. I’ve done a few things so far, but damn if I just don’t feel for any of it today!
We were supposed to take the boys bowling this morning with the neighbors (canceled due to teh sick) and then go golfing tomorrow while they were at school (canceled due to teh sick and crappy expected weather). The very things that were supposed to make today and tomorrow fly by are no longer happening.
Instead, the boys are about to build a train track, Mike is watching tv, and I am probably going to get some work done. Oh, and the dreaded laundry. Maybe we’ll attempt some fresh air and …
