#moarhappyer

If you use or are familiar with twitter at all, you know that people use hashtags to mark tweets easier to find. The actual intended use is so that you can search or keep all same topics together. For example, if you wanted to follow the Oscars, the hashtag #oscars would allow you to see all the tweets about it using that hashtag. Most of us on twitter though use hashtags for fun. Like a second thought or a sarcastic aside.

The other day, a friend of mine was saying that she was confused that people that she was unhappy or living a sad and terrible life. What continued was general goofiness and ended in me telling her she needed to tweet #moarhappyer (if you’re not familiar with twitter, things tend to get dramatic and goofy, so things get spelled wrong purposefully to make a point).

And now there are three of us using the #moarhappyer (that’s more happy tweets in layman’s terms) hashtag and instead of just being a goof, we’re trying it; trying to tweet and BE more happy.

So if you tweet, feel free to use the hashtag – show off a way you’re trying to be #moarhappyer throughout the day. Even if it’s something tiny like a change in nail polish or something big like doing something fun instead of the laundry.

Let’s all be #moarhappyer when we can.
