Taken for a ride

My new bike, that is.

First real ride [not just up and down the street] and I learned 3 very important things:

  1. My seat is too high
  2. My water bottle cage is too low (see #1)
  3. It’s imperative to keep one’s mouth (or at least teeth) closed to avoid accidental bug ingestion.
I’m still not sure that it’s shifting correctly, so I think I’ll take it back in to be sure.  I mean, I got a fantastic deal on it, but not THAT good! 🙂
That said, tonight’s ride:
35 minutes – 6.95 miles
I felt good. Had the darkness not been approaching, I could have gone longer. I’m so glad the humidity finally relented so that I could breathe enough to ride!

So glad you took your new bike for a ride! If it doesn’t feel like it’s shifting right, or that you are sitting on it right, definitely take it in for an adjustment! They should have fit the bike for you before you left, or maybe you just need minor adjusting. Let me know if you need help, I can…a little! 🙂

Three things I know about riding bikes:

1} An upcoming crack in the sidewalk sends me into a panic.
2} Bike seat pain hurts more than anything else.
3} I don’t like it.
