They’re pushing me over the edge

Dear Boys,
One day, this post will embarrass you, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t care much right now. One day your girlfriend or wife will ask about you as a little boy, and I will share embarrassing stories about you; maybe even this one.

You have GOT to figure out this bathroom thing. Seriously. I can’t do it anymore. The accidents, the constant asking if you have to go (the constant lying that you don’t and then finding an ‘accident’), the constant laundry and whining and standard ickiness. The overnite pull-ups. Definitely the overnite pull-ups.

Preston: this week I was willing to buy you a very expensive Lego set if you could stay DRY and CLEAN for 3 1/2 days. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday ALL day and 1/2 a day on Friday. This shouldn’t have been an issue, since when you’re at school, you don’t have any troubles. And I was so proud that you made it through the past 2 days; today was it for you and you couldn’t find it in yourself to not be lazy about going. I am beyond disappointed and sad about this. I wanted that Police Station, dammit!! The very worst part? Is that you could have done it but you were just too lazy. Every time I think you’re getting better at this you prove me wrong.

Matthew: you’re big now and the only reason you still wear those damn pull ups is because you’re too lazy to get up and go to the bathroom. That’s going to change VERY SOON. You have Spring Break coming up…I hope you’re prepared to be awakened every hour to go to the bathroom until you get the hang of it. I’d much rather you tell me you had an accident without a pull-up than with, as odd as it sounds.

You guys think you can fool me, but I can SMELL it and I KNOW. Pretty soon you’ll both be running around naked, no matter the time of day or night.

Love, Mom

*Am I alone here? My kids are WAY too big to be doing this and I’m so done. I take a lot of the blame, hoping they would just get it together eventually, but that’s obviously not going to happen. Tips, tricks, ideas????*

I’m about to try nighttime training with G too. So sick of the stinky pee soaked pullups. I have been told that thebedwettingstore.com sells the little thing you clip to there pjs and sets off an alarm at first sign of pee. Friends have tried the up every hour and SWEAR BY the alarm Thingy. And I remember my parents using it on me!!! I’ll team up with you. Spring break I’ll taller getting Ds pacifier away from him and getting G nighttime trained if you do it with your boys too. You in?? Bc when it comes to taking Ds pacifier I am a total whimp. Not to mention the sleep I fear losing with both kids!!!
