For Casey

When Emily reached out , I jumped at the chance to join the Mozzi celebration. I don’t know many people more deserving than you to enjoy an extended celebration after all you’ve been through.

We’ve never met, you and I, but I’ve been reading your blog, drooling over your photography skills, and watching your adorable Addie grow up for so long I don’t ever remember not “knowing” you guys.  I’ve read your struggles with infertility, cried over your honesty about your troubles with depression and pregnancy, learned about your religion and faith, and decided that the people that are lucky enough to know you in “real” life and get to count on you as their friend are probably some of the luckiest people this world will ever know.

So check your email tomorrow – in celebration, I’ve sent you a wee something that a little birdy told me you would enjoy. It’s nothing much, but if it gives you a few moments of joy and relaxation, well, then my work here is done.

One day I’ll meet you and yours in person, but until then, I’m very happy I get to count you as one of friends that live inside my computer.

I have a list of people that I must meet in person. I feel as though I already know you and when we do end up in the same room, it will be as if we’ve been friends forever and we can instantly launch into tales of boobs, sweat and tears.

Thank you for this. Thank you for always being there for me even when I wasn’t even there for myself.

love you. love you. love you.

I’m a member of the “I love Casey” fan club. (There should totally be a facebook page.)

I feel very lucky to have met Casey this summer at BlogHer. Just being near her can make you smile.

What? You’ve never met? How can that be? Must rectify.
