Mmmm….donut (games)

It seems I’m always looking for a new app for my iphone or for the boys’ ipod touch.  One of Preston’s favorites is

Traffic Rush – a free game by a company called Donut Games (hence the post title, hehe).  It’s basically cars driving through an intersection and you have to stop or flick them faster so they don’t crash. Totally fun.

In my quest for other new games, I clicked on the little in-app button for “more games” and was surprised at how many they have!

These are all good, fun games that utilize either the touch screen, accelerometer or in app controls (arrows) and while seem like they would be easy, definitely pose a bit of a challenge.

I am now the proud owner of all similar in idea, but fun in different ways. I think 3 of the 5 were free and the other two have lite versions available for free.

Another game the boys and I discovered was Pickin’ Time! This one can be played alone or with other people. The object is simple – touch the fruit or vegetable when it appears on the screen…but be careful, they get smaller as the game goes on and they come faster! The boys and I played a couple rounds as a group while waiting for our dinner the other night, so  it was a great distraction.

Another one I have been obsessed with lately (besides Words with Friends) is Miriel the Magical Merchant.  It’s a time management game (same idea as Diner Dash and Sally’s Spa).  I just love these kind of games!  Sadly, I’m on the last part and am looking for a new one to take its place!
