What I’m listening to

September 14, 2009 · 2 comments

Music is a huge part of my life; always has been.

Here’s what I’ve been listening to repeatedly lately, in random order, always:

  1. Say Hey (I love you) — Michael Franti – super catchy
  2. F**k You — Lily Allen – best way ever to say F You with a smile
  3. The Fear — Lily Allen
  4. I’m Shipping Up to Boston — Dropkick Murphys – has to be listened to at near max volume
  5. Waking Up In Vegas — Katy Perry
  6. Unwritten — Natasha Bedingfield
  7. Boogie Shoes — KC & The Sunshine Band – I dare you to not dance around to this!
  8. Show Me What I’m Looking For — Carolina Liar
  9. Untouched — The Veronicas
  10. You can’t always get what you want — Band from TV – Hugh Laurie. Need I say more?
  11. Heartless – Chris Mann – this guy? Going to be big.
  12. Her Diamonds – Rob Thomas
  13. Hot N Cold – Katy Perry
  14. Happy – Natasha Bedingfield – perfect words for a pick me up
  15. Good Girls Go Bad – Cobra Starship – another catchy tune
  16. When I Grow Up – Pussycat Dolls – mostly because I thought it said ‘i wanna have boobies’ not ‘groupies’
  17. Stronger – Kayne West – yes, I know he’s a complete tool, but this song came out before he turned into a freak
  18. Vegas – Sara Bareilles
  19. You Belong With Me – Taylor Swift
  20. Mickey – Toni Basil – if you don’t dance in your seat at least to this, you must be sick
  21. Grease Megamix
  22. Please Don’t Leave Me – P!nk
  23. Bleeding Love – Leona Lewis
  24. Stand Back Up – Sugarland
  25. These Are the Days – Sugarland
  26. Use Somebody – Kings of Leon
  27. Love, Save the Empty – Erin McCarley
  28. Leave the Pieces – The Wreckers
  29. Mercy – Duffy
  30. Walk this Way – Run DMC
  31. Gold Digger – Kayne – again, prior to him becoming King Douchebag
  32. Hypnotize – Notorious BIG – Brought back to me from 10 Things I Hate About You
  33. Under Pressure – David Bowie & Queen
  34. How Far We’ve Come – Matchbox Twenty
  35. Sweet Caroline – Neil Diamond
  36. Son of a Preacher Man – Dusty Springfield
  37. So What – P!nk
  38. I’m Yours – Jason Mraz
  39. Super Freak – Rick James
  40. I Gotta Feeling – Black Eyed Peas
  41. Fidelity – Regina Spektor

The funniest part is that these songs are a mere fraction of my music/tastes.  I have a ton of other stuff, but since I’m not in my car that often, it’s hard to shuffle through the 327 songs on my “smaller random play” playlist, let alone the 1425+ in my regular playlist.

(By the way, I’m pretty sure most, if not all, of these came from iTunes.)

So, now, tell me what YOU are listening to that I should be!!

I like a lot of those songs. Pretty much anything by Sara Bareilles, Natasha Bedingfield, The Veronicas, Matchbox Twenty, Regina Spektor, Jason Mraz, Pink, and Taylor Swift I can listen to all day long and never get tired of it.
