President Obama

I don’t care if you love him or hate him, you HAVE to be impressed by the way he inspires people; by the sheer number of people that came out to see him get sworn in. The number of people who are out partying the night away in celebration of our new president.

Matt got to watch some of it in school today, which I’m happy about. He also colored a lovely picture of our new prez. (I’ll get it scanned tomorrow).

I’m happy with our (see, I said our – you know, as a country, as a group) choice. I think that he will do a fantastic job – seriously, he already has. He has a lot of work ahead of him, but he KNOWS it, and that makes all the difference in the world.

Congrats, Obama family. It’s quite an adventure you’re going on now!

I was seriously inspired. I mean really, we are making history here! And it’s no secret that my husband wanted McCain to win, and yet I was almost gleeful when I overheard Grace through the monitor chanting “O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA!” Apparently watching the events on t.v. with me has made an impact and I think that’s awe-inspiring!

You’re so right. The way he can inspire people is just phenomenal. And that’s what gives me so much hope that our country is going to pull together to do the work that needs to be done.
