It’s a date!
Sunshine and I decided that if (when) they made the next installment of the Twilight series that we would definitely go – probably to a showing without all the screaming teens – but we would go.
Shine? It’s a date!
SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES
TWILIGHT SEQUEL – NEW MOON
Los Angeles, CA November 22, 2008 — Summit Entertainment announced today that the studio is officially moving forward with the production of NEW MOON, the second installment of its filmed franchise TWILIGHT, the action-packed, modern day vampire love story. The movie will be based on the second novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series titled, New Moon. The first movie in the TWILIGHT franchise, the self-titled TWILIGHT, arrived in theaters this weekend to sold-out showings.
Stephenie Meyer stated, “I don’t think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment. I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on NEW MOON.”
words fail me*
I like to play word games – on my iphone, it’s muddled and wurdle. on facebook, it’s word challenge and biggest brain; on my ds it’s brain games or millionheir. (or the Lego games, but that’s irrelevant)
one would think i would be a lot fracking smarter. or at least score higher.
my scores consistently suck. it’s not that I don’t know a lot of words, it’s that I don’t seem to know a lot of words under the pressure to think really fast. or that I don’t type in words that aren’t words to me, or that I type in words that DO exist, but don’t according to the game I’m playing.
i love words…reading them, writing them…but apparently, they have no love for me.
*This post brought to you by NaBloPoMo and desperation in combination with a not too exciting day.
The movie
My friend Shine asked me to go see Twilight with her. As you may know, I am not a big fan of movies made from books, but based on the reviews and excitement all over the place, I decided to give it a try. Besides, it made a grand excuse for going out on a Friday night!!
So, here’s the thing…
I liked it.
I really liked it.
It would have been better without a theater full (and I mean FULL) of screaming teenagers, but it was good.
The movie followed the book fairly well – impressively, even.
I was very unsure about Edward. I was very pleasantly surprised. And the scene in which he drives in to save Bella from the group of guys in Port Angeles? (Basically the same as in the book): totally hot.
I anxiously await the next one.
———
The theater was packed with teenage girls. There were probably about 7-10 men total in the entire theater. A few dates, a few (really good) dads there with their daughters and friends. People had Twilight themed shirts and bags and headbands; this was a big deal.
And I had fun.
Thanks, Shine. If not for you, I would have waited for the DVD. …
6th pic in 6th folder
One of the memey things going around right now is to post the 6th picture from the 6th folder of pictures…here’s mine.
Awwwww…..look how sweet he is! This is Preston in…well, the photo info says 1/17/2006, but I’m doubting that is correct, since it’s in front of the Christmas tree and I am a take it down a couple days after Christmas kind of gal. So, based on his size and the surrounding stuff, I’m going to randomly guess* about 12/18/2005 (*or cheat and find the real folder the pictures were in from this day and get the right date).
Turns out that folder is a mass of pictures that must have been recovered or something, because the dates are all wonky and if I had the time or energy, I would go through it, move and fix and delete. But since I don’t want to….there ya go.
In the spirit of giving you the TRUE picture – 6th folder (event), 6th picture, I offer you this one:
Awwwww…..look at my big bald headed Matthew!! So damn cute and chubby, wasn’t he?? This one is from February of 2004, so he was about 6 months old. (I grow em big, …
