- Feel like I’ve been neglecting you, oh bloggy friends! Here I am! {waving frantically}
- Finished both Halloween costumes for the boys, but still have to figure out their caps…er, hats. Matt is going to be a mustard bottle, Preston is going to be a ketchup bottle! I’m fairly impressed with myself actually. Will post pics on Friday!
- Do you ever rewrite a sentence because you are sure the grammar is wrong, but you just can’t figure out how to fix it? Uh, me either… 🙂
- Random Quirk #8: I can’t listen to and follow football, basketball or hockey on the radio. Baseball, yes. The rest, no.
- Matt went to his first school dance on Friday night – totally last minute, and I’m ashamed to admit that I was very annoyed to have to take him…in my defense, I had been cleaning the basement and playroom for hours and midway through dinner he blurted out that he wanted to go. Luckily we live about 45 seconds from the school, so I cleaned up and we went. It was cute. I think more than anything, he wanted me to know every. single. detail. about his school, but he did dance with his cousin and see some friends. It ended up being fine, but I did warn him that I would appreciate a little advance notice next time!
- We finally finished getting the basement cleaned up (again), and in doing so were able to move some things from the playroom to the basement play area. The boys are excited about having another place to play, and I am happy (ish) to have a place to be able to exercise again.
- I went to a Lia Sophia party at my friend Sunshine’s house last night. It was nice to get out and talk to other adults for awhile. And the margaritas were yummy!
- I spent much of today working on the house. My room is clean (I found my craft tables!), the boys’ rooms are spiffy and I can even open and close Matt’s closet doors without having to shove the stuffed animal zoo back in first. I made a very significant dent in the laundry, but tomorrow will have to see it finished. The only area left is the kitchen, which goes against my whole “if the kitchen is clean, then I feel like the house is presentable” theory. I generally start there first, but today was backward.
- Mike and the boys spent a good amount of the day outside, do final season yard work and cleaning up the garage. A productive day, all in all.
- We had to have a serious chat with Matt the other day – he had a massive tantrum leaving the school and it just kept escalating. It was unprecedented, but I think between the two of us we may have slowed down the whining. Please?
- Chance of snow flurries tomorrow. Already?
- I’m on the last Sookie Stackhouse novel. I am trying to read it slowly to savor it, but I just can’t. Maybe I can finish it before 1am…goodnight!

I became tired just after READING your list. I think it reminds me too much of everything I have yet to do. 😳
I am envious that you’re on the lack Sookie book (last as in LAST or last as in most recent????), I’ve grown terribly behind in the series. So you’re feelin’ the vibe on Eric a bit more eh? I think so far, in all the clips I’ve seen, he’s the best portrayal out of the entire series. I’m not entirely sold on Anna Paquin. But I’ll watch the series, one way or the other…probably on DVD when it comes out.
Glad Matt had fun at his first dance.
