cloudy

I can’t seem to get it together today.

I am very sleepy.  And completely unmotivated.

There about 432 things I could should be doing…from dishes to laundry, from cleaning and organizing to crafting. I have big ideas about making some Christmas presents this year and time is flying by.  And yet I can’t seem to remove my butt from this couch except to feed, change and play with Preston.  Or let the dog out.

It’s a rainy, cloudy, crummy day outside, which probably has something to do with all of it, but still.  It’s not really in my nature to sit around.

And yet here I am.

What do you do when you have stuff to do and no motivation? Any secret pick-me-ups or tricks to get moving?

Clueless…but sympathizing. Does that help at all?

Exercise! Okay you can slap me now. I’ve been SOOO not motivated to get out of bed lately. Once I do get up and work out, I feel much more motivated. That’s not to say I don’t take a 15min nap in the afternoon though!

I put on sneakers. It sounds weird but it’s easier to run around and get things done if my feet have some springyness. 🙂

I have no advice at all since my own list of stuff to do is miles long and the baby is due in less than 2 months. Personally I am a little overwhelmed.

I do find getting my ass off the couch is a good start though…. once I get moving things actually HAPPEN around here.

Oh, sister, you’re singin’ my song. This is how I’ve felt for weeks.

What helps me is getting outside. Taking the dog for a walk, sitting on the sun porch, raking the leaves, whatever…the fresh air does wonders for me. It’s just getting OUT THERE that’s the hard part. 😉

First recognize how much has been going on/going wrong lately and that’s enough to bum someone out and ground them to the couch! So my advice, because trust me I have these days ALL THE TIME: take some time to lounge, put on a movie, snuggle with Preston and try and doze off. A nap can do wonders. Then shake off the fog, make yourself stand up, have some coffee and go outside. Be patient and understanding with yourself. You’ve not had it easy lately!!! Most of all? Know that I love you and am sending happy vibes your way. xoxoxo
