As you may (or may not) know, I visit a lot of blogs. Pretty much daily. All the ones in my blogroll and more. So today I thought I might randomly pick some for YOU to visit. We all know that comments and visits are what makes the bloggy world go round (no matter that we all say they don’t matter), so yourself a favor and visit these people today: (the first one is a ning site, so if you already have a login, go ahead and comment there, but if that’s too much, go ahead and comment here!!)
This is my cousin’s site – she’s trying to create a place for New Hampshire Mamas to hang out and blog and share. She just had her 3rd baby and for the third time she is suffering with a child who HATES the car…give her some bloggy love, eh? Car Hating Babies

i can haz mah bike back? Plz?
My bike was stolen yesterday. (*ETA: THIS is what she looked like)
From outside my office while I was in there for about 3 minutes. I parked it in front of the window so I could see it. Had I planned on being there longer than just a little while, I would have brought it in with me (and I had a fleeting thought that I should today, but blew it off. One day I will learn to listen to even the smallest voice/instinct.)
I was joking with H while we walked to the door – she was off to get her lunch, I was off for home to do more painting. I made a remark that I parked in front of the window so we could see someone if they stole my bike. As we crossed the threshold of the front door, she looked to her right and said “What bike?” And in those few seconds I realized that it wasn’t a very funny joke after all.
H hung with me as I made a beeline for the church behind our building; we saw a couple of teenagers a few hundred feet away, both on bikes, one of which bore …
Super Goodness!
So, here’s me as a Superhero (thanks to Sweetney’s Link Blog for the link!)
meh
I had dinner with my buddy Shine last night – always a nice night out with dinner and drinks and lots of chatting as woman are wont to do. We gabbed until way past dark and when our yawns out numbered our laughs, we called it a night.
I got home to boys in bed and Mike playing his new video game. A bit of blog reading, Olympic watching (Man, Michael Phelps is a freaking machine!), and it was time to head to bed. By then it was midnight-ish and I was beat.
About an hour in to my deep sleep, Preston woke up with yet another nightmare and demanded to come back to the ‘big bed’ because he needed to see his daddy. Fine.
At about 3:30, Matt woke up crying for me. Got him all settled, when back to my bedroom to see that Preston had taken over my spot completely. Rather than fight with him, I decided to go sleep in his bed. Lying there, I realized that the bathroom was still a mess from the boys’ shower, the laundry was still in baskets, and nothing whatsoever had been done in the kitchen.
Next thing I knew, Mike was waking me …
Getting Things Done Redux
Sometimes if you put things out there in the universe things work out better…since I posted that, I have, with help, gotten the following things done:
In the front yard
Re-mulch entire area
In the back yard
Clean out under the deck
Fix lattice under deck technically it was just moved, but looks way better!
In the house….holy crap….
Remove wallpaper and paint half-bath
Clean (or get new) blinds for kitchen (they are nasty!) This is actually 1/2 done – cleaned one set, but once we took them down we realized how much we like the big windows sans blinds…
replace our bathroom blinds
new blinds for Matt’s room (i broke his)
Now, it’s not a lot done, but it is a heckuva start. I will be painting the bathroom this week sometime, hanging valances over the kitchen windows (which will work even if we put blinds back up), and will start working on kid closets since we have to start school clothes shopping!! EEK.
OH! And I totally MADE a valance for the boys’ bathroom today. Yes, I am awesome! I will get pics soon and upload so you can see their totally hip new monkey bathroom.

Work tomorrow…blah. Would rather stay home and work on the household tasks since …
