Oh! That trying question. I was so glad to have a third girl. Yes there is the "what if," about a boy, but I have three exquisite little girls, healthy and wondrous. I am so grateful, and harried, but the gratitude and joy trump the frustrations.

amandas last blog post..<a href="http://lifewithbriar.blogspot.com/2008/07/nexterday.html" rel="nofollow">Nexterday</a>

Whether you want another or not, leave the door open if you can. After Peanut, I was snipped because we decided we were done. Now it bugs me a little knowing Mrs. Joe could still have another while I cant.

I personally dislike the question, "Are you going to try for a little boy?" Even when it sounds innocent, the underlying message of that question, to me, is that a family is somehow "incomplete" because you don't have at least one of each gender. I love having two girls, and that is perfect for us. Besides, it seems when someone "tries" for a certain gender, they get the opposite.

And here I thought the point of the blog was to say "I want to try for a girl!" Dang! lol..I think all parents worry about other kids being mean emotionally and physically to their children. I worry more with Alexis because she is so sensitive and with her disability it makes me really worry about kids being mean.

My friend's daughter just had a similar situtation with her foot. They couldn't find anything wrong with it and it healed in about two weeks.

Anyway, I totally get it about being done. I JUST got to that point and I've got four kids. But, when they start getting independent and the whole family can do things together instead or mom sitting off w/ the baby, it's really nice. And it is nice not always thinking about and waiting for the next one. Just living with what you're got and loving it.
