Alaska week on Discovery Channel in HIgh Definition – ASTOUNDING. How did I ever watch tv before HD?? or why?
Discovery Channel’s new commercial, with the tag line The World is Just Awesome – awesome.
Reading Wacky Wednesday as a bedtime book? Not such a good idea.
Ice vs. heat for severe low back pain radiating into hip…. heat wins! (And another chiropractor visit should help)
I hate days when I bother to get showered and dressed and then end up doing absolutely nothing.
My dog is warm and squishy when she sleeps.
Supposed to be in the 70s all week – assuming back is better, will be walking or biking every day, no excuses.
If bear poo is called scat, why is the phrase not “Does a bear scat in the woods?”
I made lanyards for my office staff. Man, I am cool!
I’m finding the difference in fictional accounts of the time of the Boleyn sisters varies greatly depending on the author. I’ve been so taken by that whole time period that I’m on my third author version!! The basic facts of the time and the names are all very consistent, but the author’s interpretations are varied. Interesting.
Would I enjoy Deadliest Catch as much …

The Great Green Bag Experiment
[Yipe! 2 posts in one day!!!]
As you may (or may not) recall, Matt has a thing for infomercials. His biggest love has been the Debbie Meyer Green Bags – he told everyone he saw for days about those things; we see used-car salesman in his future. Anyway, as luck would have it, we were able to find the As Seen On TV Green Bags at our local Target. So commenced the great green bag experiment of 2008. Skeptical, as I am of most things on infomercials (even though I can’t stop watching them), I figured these were a waste of money, but to appease my crazy wonderful son, I would give it a try.
So, I threw some fruit in these lovely, and literally, green bags and started our experiment. I did apples, bananas, grapes (green and red) and strawberries.
Here are the banana results – what do you think?
Looks like these crazy things work!!
Simply (semi-wordless wed.)
silly
I admit, I love those lolcats. In fact, they often crack me up more than is probably right. What can I say, I have a strange sense of humor. These were cracking me up today.
By the way, does anyone know when the next delurking day is? I’m not feeling the love here lately, but I’m guessing (hoping) people are still reading…
Utterly overwhelmed*
(*I wanted to use another word for overwhelmed, but my computer’s thesaurus said no.)
Last night I organized most of my fabric. The scraps and smaller pieces went in two of my cubby shelves, the larger pieces were re-folded (after being repeatedly tossed in the air by two madly giggling children who were “helping” me) and placed in cute little stacks in a clear plastic over-the-door shoe holder.
It went well enough that I thought it was time to finally organize my scrapbook supplies. When I redid my room a few months ago, I did the bare minimum and shoved the rest in boxes that fit in my cubby shelves. So, I arranged for Grandma to come play with the boys today while I headed out to a couple stores to get the appropriate organizing materials.
My room is a complete and total disaster now. I’ve sorted lots of the little stuff and put it in new jars, put some ribbon on a wood dowel, and started sorting my papers.
My awesome paper holders? Don’t fit in my cubby shelves (by about one-bazillionth of an inch), I’ve found a bunch of stuff that I need to give away since I haven’t touched it …
