Sunday snooze

Pretty sleepy here.

BUSY weekend.

Lots of outside time, lots of play time, lots of laundry and house cleaning to catch up on.

Sat down on the couch to get some work done since the boys are in bed, but I can’t seem to focus on it.  Guess I don’t feel for working after all.

Or maybe it’s this boring Tiger game (they’re losing, of course) making me sleepy…

My uncle’s “funeral” was this weekend [in quotes because there was a thing at the funeral home, but he had already been cremated so it was more of a family/friend gathering; the memorial was more a celebration of his life, no actual service]. His death was quite a shock to all of us, and his two sons put on a brave, strong front for family and friends, but it’s been especially hard since they lost their mom two months prior.  They have a long road ahead of them; lots of things to handle and deal with. Mid-30s and parent-less. I can’t imagine.

My uncle was a good man.  He had a good sense of humor, a smile that made his eyes twinkle and when I was a teenager, he read my poetry – my teenage angst-filled, lovelorn, silly poetry – and he encouraged me to keep at it and asked for copies.   On a more grand scale, he was the designer of many cars, including the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and the 1971 Road Runner.  He was well-respected and liked in the auto industry, and when he retired, he and Chrysler had a hard time letting go after so many years of service. He will be missed.  By car guys everywhere, by his family and friends, by his sons and his little grandson who he didn’t have nearly enough time with him.

On a COMPLETELY different subject, the cialis and viagra commercials are OUT OF CONTROL on ESPN. Come on!  I am so not looking forward to the moment when my son hears the words erection and erectile disfunction. That’ll be super fun to explain!  And have you ever listened to the side effects of those things? Oh. My. Goodness!  lol.

Alright, on that note, I think I’ll just go to bed. 😀

I think we're all catching up on housework after the beautiful days we had. I certainly didn't want to do any work then!! Have been doing laundry for two days straight now!!

Ugh. April sucks. as for the side effects, I love when SNL makes fun and says "if your erection lasts for more than 4 hours, call all your friends and brag about it"
