Weekend Wrap Up

March 10, 2008 · 4 comments

I feel like I have been neglecting you, my faithful reader(s)! I simply haven’t had much to blog about, I guess. So, since I know you’re dying to hear about my oh so exciting life, here is my weekend, all wrapped up…

  • Friday: Matt had school…Preston played with cars and watched Max & Ruby…blah blah blah….we all went out to dinner at Cracker Barrel (the boys had pancakes) then we went out browsing for a ridiculous way to spend our money from the government, which was really our money anyway, so what the heck.  We were super close to buying a new tv from a cute salesgirl at Circuit City (had I not been there, I know Mike would’ve bought it). Instead, we did something totally unprecedented and decided to think about it. Glad we did, since the same tv was found online for $400 less.
  • Saturday: I spent most of the day scrapbooking. I was totally in the zone and got like 18 pages done.  It was fabulous.  The boys spent the day playing…you know, with cars, on their scooters, watching Max & Ruby…the usual. Then we had dinner out with the neighbors. A good time had by all.
  • Sunday: I spent most of the day working. The guilt of not getting things done finally got to me, and since Mike was downstairs with the boys (who were playing with cars, watching Max  & Ruby, coloring and playing on scooters) playing his video games, I was able to get a lot done.

And then we have today..the boys and I, after a few false alarms, actually slept in until after 9:30!!  See, there is nothing wrong with Daylight Saving Time when it allows that to happen!! Of course, that means it was really only 8:30, but hey, that’s pretty late for us, too!  [Or is it really 9:30? What time is the REAL time, the Spring forward time or fall back time??]

So today proves to be very exciting, indeed. Matt has school and Preston and I are going grocery shopping. Woohoo!! Oh, and we might even hit Babies R Us for some diapers! The excitement never ends!

Maybe next time I’ll have something more exciting to blog about…

$400?? Actually, the bottom line figure was about $800 less than Circuit City.

I think the real time is the old time. Since Daylight Savings Time was created to give us more daylight during the summer hours, then I would think the winter time is the real time. I was terribly lazy this weekend but I was coming off of being sick all last week. I'm glad you were productive and gave me something to read!!

Uneventful at times maybe, but I don't think your life is boring at all! Sometimes uneventful is good, you need some downtime between the crazy times right?
