Remember those tv commercials for salsa (Pace, maybe?) where there were a bunch of cowboy types sitting around talking about salsa being made in New York City? Ok….well, I do! And many a time when discussing the big apple, I hear that fella exclaiming “New York City!?!?!” and it totally cracks me up (not the commercial, but me hearing it in my head).
We’re making plans to go to a Yankee game. Now, before you get the wrong idea, I am totally not a Yankee fan, nor is Mike. Indeed, we (he mostly) always wanted to go to Yankee Stadium. And since they’re building a new stadium for use starting in 2009, we kind of figured it was now or never. So, we’re hooking up with my cousins and their husbands and hitting a game. I am so excited!! The game will be fun, the stadium awesome, I’m sure, but most importantly? I get to see my cousins again! WOOT!
{I should come up with some acronym for them…let’s see….NCMP (that would be like nincompoop) ok, maybe not…
…PCNM….MNCP….ok, forget it. LOL.}
I cannot wait. A weekend away? Yipppeeeeeee!!!!
I’ve only been to NYC once and I totally loved it – it was for a business expo and it was forever ago, and I always want to go back. Now I have a good reason.

Be careful if you are in the upper deck and are afraid of heights. (Um, not that, um, I'm afraid of heights…)

Be sure to grab a beer across the street at Stan's Sports Bar…it's a dive, but it's an institution, so…
