My cousin Ryan’s surgery went quite a bit longer than the predicted 8 hours yesterday. That, actually, was a good thing. The neurosurgeon was pleased that he got more than he thought he would be able to of the tumor, nearly all of it. They still have to run some tests to find out if he’s going to need chemo or radiation, but so far so good. He was awake and talking and moving around on the way to recovery last night at 9; no updates yet today, but I’m feeling pretty positive.
