Could we BE any more wishy-washy?

Ok, seriously.  We can’t do it.  We can’t even call the vet, let alone take Riley in. This whole lack of outward illness combined with the eating is putting us over the edge.  We’re not calling the vet today. Everyone keeps saying we’ll know when it’s time.  I hope that’s true, because as of right now we obviously don’t. So what if he sleeps all day – he’s old.  And so what if he only eats once a day – he’s old and thin like a little old man.  He can still walk and get up and down the stairs; he can still jump on the chair to sleep. And right now, he makes it outside to go to the bathroom about 98% of the time – about 100% if we’re home and awake.
We’re taking it day by day.  What a crazy emotional roller coaster.   I need a dog psychic.

Oh, the poor dog!
POOR YOU!

When your pets are sick, everything just sucks.

You will know when the time comes. Unil then enjoy the time with him. We had a cat that developed feline leukemia. The symptoms made the decision easier.

I so know what you\'re going through. I\'ve had to go down that road 3 times, which is most of the reason we no longer have pets. I can\'t bear to go through it again! It\'s painful and so difficult, but part of the human experience I guess. Do your best to cherish the moments you have left with him and either you\'ll know or he will tell you when the time is right. Be strong, we\'re here for you!

the moosh talks to dogs, want to borrow her? I\'m not sure on her reliability but it\'s a start right?
Best of luck on timing and that pooch (and you guys) stays as happy as can be until the end.
