Help the lazy and uninformed!

Seriously, we’ve been totally lazy about Matt getting out of his night diaper. Yes, he’s almost 4 and a half.  But really? YOU have 2 boys that don’t sleep for crap the first 2 years of their lives and see how excited you get about waking him up to pee all night long!  hehe  :DReally, though – how did you do it?  I am SO sick of diapers and am {almost} looking forward to Preston using the toilet instead of a diaper – especially at night!  Preston is getting closer – he is starting to complain every time he pees that he needs a diaper, so maybe with his brother wearing underwear, he’ll start a little sooner. So give me your potty stories – help a sistah out, yo!

1) no after dinner drinks
2) must pee before bed
3) wait for the 1st dry morning.
4) praise
5) repeat.
6) give up pull-ups; replace with rubber sheet.
7) be prepared to change sheets.
8) adults must have after dinner drinks

i feel bad saying we had it easy. M just stopped using her diaper and has only had one accident. she even wakes herself up and night and goes if she needs to (and wakes us up in the process, but still)

I have no words of wisdom as like Jen, Alexis never had that problem. But I have also heard that girls are easier on the potty thing than boys.. But my friends son is 6 and has the bed wetting problem at night. Here is what they do, which is similar to the first comment up there…
1.No drinks after dinner what so ever
2.Pee several times between dinner and bed
3.Pee right before bed
4.Pee pad under the sheet so bed doesnt get ruined
Hope that helps some. It will get better. Surely it cant get worse! 😉

Punkin Pie is 5 and still wears a pull to bed. He is a deep sleeper and just won\'t wake to go potty. Ped isn\'t worried about it and what I\'ve read on WebMD and the like say it should work itself out by age 7 if not sooner.

He did wake up dry for the first time the other day, and I expect it will become more frequent. In the meantime, we will continue the pee pad under the sheet and wear pull ups.

Until they start waking up dry I just don\'t think it\'s worth the battle. I for one was such a deep sleeper as a kid, paired with a teeny bladder that I remember wetting the bed til I was about 6!! Even though my mom DID drag me half asleep to the toilet in the middle of the night!!! THANK GOD FOR \"Good Nights\" pullups!!!
