I love this quote

I first heard a modified version of it during the movie Coach Carter, and then I noticed it on the lovely Tabba’s blog.

Do you have any favorite quotes? Feel free to comment, otherwise I might have to create my own meme and tag ALL of ya!!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

—-from A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson.

I love Marianne Williamson! I haven\'t thought about her in forever. I read Return To Love probably 15 years ago. I should pull it out. What a great book.

I love quotes and use them often. I put this quote on a page in an album with a pic of me and my kids.

I never thought I could love someone
The way that I love you both
It\'s impossible to put into words
But I love you both that much, it\'s true
I loved you before I saw your faces
And before I knew of your charms
But when I looked into your eyes,
You found your place
Deep in my heart and safe in my arms

I\'m a mush for stuff like that. Not sure who wrote it, I didn\'t quote it exactly I think it was referring to one child, I just made it fit my scenerio with two kids.

I\'m so glad it found a home in your heart again.
Rav & I watched \"Akeelah and the Bee\" this weekend & the quote was on there.
I was so moved by it, I just had to add it to my sidebar.

(thanks for the linky-love) 🙂
