yes, I’m a big baby

I’m a wuss. I admit it. But my jaw hurts! And I’m bruised and swollen and you know that feeling you get when you stick your head in a vice and tighten it? Ok, well, no I don’t either, but work with me here! Anyway, that is exactly (maybe) how my jaw feels.

Call me uniformed, call me a big baby, tell me to suck it up, but I honestly, seriously had no flipping idea I would be this swollen for this long. Everyone made it seem like such a minor, tiny little procedure. No big deal! Everyone said.

At least the left side of my face is normal-ish again (still can’t smile right, though, and chewing, not so much simple). The right side, looks like about 4-5 marbles are stuffed in my cheek, but the bruise is turning such a lovely shade of yellow….<sigh> Never mind, I’m starting to annoy myself with this crap.

—————————-

I can’t get enough of the Stone Barrington novels by Stuart Woods. Nor can I stop myself from reading James Patterson. There is just something about these books that suck me right in…

Speaking of Patterson – the new Women’s Murder Club series started and is based on some of his books (that I loved). The show was pretty good – I’m especially pleased with the cast – Angie Harmon makes a fabulous cop.

Speaking of tv shows, I’m getting a kick out of Big Shots. 4 powerful men and the women who love (and hate) them; lots of sex, fast talk and scandal. Yippeee!

Ok, so this blog is probably a waste of (cyber)space, but I wanted to let ya’ll know I’m still (mostly) alive and share some random thoughts.

I think I’ll attempt to go to work tomorrow, for at least a little while. Heaven knows I don’t want to be seen in public like half a chipmunk, but duty calls. 🙂

My dentist was stupid and said I had enough room so leave it be. Then all of the sudden years later he says oh, you need to have those out. I had mine done when I was 23 and it was awful.

Especially since it was like 3 weeks before my wedding. I wanted to get it done before I lost my parents insurance. Who knew there was so much pain & ugliness. I was eating mash potatoes for 2 weeks! I was just getting the stitches out right before I left for my honeymoon, yikes.

They couldn\'t even do the bottoms, because they said it would break my jaw. The roots are too far down. I said they were stupid for waiting this long. Grrr…

They say the older you get the worst it is. Just like your tonsils, it\'s easier when you are younger. My nephew was 3 and had no pain, I was 11 and thought I was going to die. Good luck!

It would make a cool scrapbook page. It\'s one of those *note to self pages. Like… get those wisdom teeth out when you are a teenager, don\'t wait, this could happen to you, ahhaha!
