Seriously, there were a multitude of reasons that I didn’t want to get my wisdom teeth out. But after putting it off, I went ahead and did it anyway. BIG Mistake in my book. BIG.
It didn’t take long, and I didn’t feel anything. In fact, last night, aside from sleeping the day away, I was feeling pretty damn good. This morning, however, I look like this:
Without the cute fur.
My face has gotten more swollen as the day as passed and no amount of icing or Motrin seems to be helping. And my whole jaw hurts.
But the worst part? The VERY worst part?
All over my freaking body. Again.
They gave me an antibiotic that I wasn’t supposed to be allergic to. Apparently that wasn’t the right one.
So here I sit, miserable, in a benadryl haze, my head feeling like it weighs 4 hundred pounds and my cheeks stretched to the limit. Vicodin…here I come.

Girl, I feel for you! Luckily I never had problems with any of my wisdom teeth. I had 2 removed when I went to Sweden to visit my mom. I was only 21 years old and I remember that lady pulling on those suckers. The only bad thing I had from that was a little sore on the corner of my mouth where her tools were scraping it. When I came back to the U.S., I had another one removed within a year and that one wasn\'t bad either. The last one came out about 3 years ago so that my mouth could get adjusted before getting braces. I\'ll pass along my sympathies – especially with the hives? It looks miserable but you\'ll be glad they\'re gone in the long run – well, you will if you were having or was going to have problems with them!
Gah! What a freakin drag! I am sorry love, feel better soon

I looked much the same- chubby cheeks that is- it was during highschool for me, and the day I went back was the day they took \"head shot\" photos for our spring dance performance! YUCK!!
I can\'t believe you reacted to the Antibiotics again!! Is there anything you don\'t react to?? Find out! Just incase you have to be admitted for something more serious than wisdom teeth in the future!!
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon Dawn. Sorry to hear of the swelling, and especially the hives.. Looks painful! Get some rest and maybe tomorrow you will look/feel better..
oh, and all the \'cets\' are nice too… lorcet, fioricet, darvocet…. and milkshakes. yeah.
Ah sweet release of prescription drugs.
Best wishes with that cheeky.

I feel for you Dawn! Sounds like you had a bad reaction to both the surgery and the meds…how awful! I was lucky…only swelled the first day and it really wasn\'t that bad. I had four bony impacted wisdom teeth pulled about 8 years ago and the surgery was not the bad part…it was the darn dry socket that I had afterwords…be careful of that, I thought that pain was normal and didn\'t go back in for days because I thought I was being a baby. Hope you are feeling better very soon!

Yikes. Hopefully you\'ve recovered by now. Puffy cheeks AND rashy. 🙁 Sorry!
When I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic, the rash/hive/itch lasted two very painful lonely weeks in confined indoor space. I didn\'t dare to go out for fear of freaking someone out..
