Random Tidbits

* Sometimes having Preston repeat what he’s saying makes it harder to understand him.  For example: Tonight we were sitting down to dinner and this is what we heard:

Preston: Wan fuk!  Mama, wan fuk!!

US: Uh, WHAT!?  Mike and I are looking at each other, trying not to laugh, knowing that he couldn’t possibly be saying what it sounds like.  I start repeating him, asking him to say it again…

Preston: FUK!  Wan FUK!!

Me: Laughing now, looking at him, looking at his dinner and suddenly realizing….

HE WANTS A FORK!!!

🙂

* I got a new lens for my camera today – it’s a wide angle and so totally cool!  P and I took advantage of our trip to the vet’s office to pick up meds for the most expensive dog EVAR Maggie to do some driving around and picture taking.  Once I figure out some more photoshop tips, lighting, exposure, aperture, etc, I should be rockin that thing!  ;)   Actually, I do alright photography-wise, but I’ve been super lazy about learning all I could/should.

* I’d bet the people from What Not To Wear wouldn’t take me – not because I couldn’t use a makeover, but because I would totally do whatever Clinton and Stacey told me to and I would be happy about it!

* Apparently, this whole fixing Preston’s sleeping thing is like starting a diet.  So I resolve to quit bitching about my lack of sleep and issues with getting shoved out of my own bed until we come up with a plan and stick with it.   Maybe I’ll start my diet then….

(Did I type this already in a previous post? If so, sorry! But I obviously mean it! lol) I really really really wanted to go apple picking and on a hayride and through the corn maze at the local orchard this weekend.  But it’s like 80 degrees out.  Can’t do it.  CANNOT DO IT.  I need a hoodie, a crisp breeze and leaves falling to go apple picking!!   Maybe next weekend.

P is too cute! It\'s so hilarious when they\'re looking at you like \"Why don\'t you understand me? I\'m speaking plain as day!\"

Oh yeah, punkin pie said some funny stuff in his time. Only now at 5, he really is saying what we think he\'s saying! Thankfully the F has not come up yet.

You have to love these moments! I recall when we bought Shrek on DVD for Hannah and she said \"here comes Lord Fukwad\". I had to tell her how to say Lord Farquaad\'s name —- Far-qwad, Far-qwad, Far-qwad. Got it? Good! But I do rather like Fukwad!

i had a little boy, years back, that i taught at preschool. we went on a field trip to a firestation. where he promptly told me how much he liked the firefuks and the pumperfuks.

it still makes me chuckle to this day.
