LOLing with the boys

The boys woke up happy today and we had such a good day! We had to take the old dorkdog to get groomed and then we hit Target for some work supplies.  They were both so goofy and silly.

I think a lot of it had to do with Preston sitting in the basket and Matt sitting the kid seat up in the front of the cart.  Preston did a little running commentary and I found Matt to be extremely ticklish today.  :D  I even continued singing (if you want to call it that!) as we were getting out of the car at Target.  It was the ooo-ee-ooooo part to Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Escape song, if you know it.  And it was silly and loud and here’s the thing – I don’t do that.  Really.  My concern about what people think of me generally keeps from being my loud self (you know, that one that no one knows about…oh….wait…sorry! hehe).  So there I was, singing loudly in the parking lot while changing P’s diaper in the back of the car, and people looked at me and….smiled.  Wasn’t that nice?  It might have simply been the weather (high 70s and sunny) or my cute kids, but still, smiles all around.  And then later down one of the aisles, I was simultaneously talking to Mike on my cell and the boys and looking for something and this lady stops me and basically says that she thought it was nice that I was explaining things to the boys but not giving too much information.  She mentioned she does the same thing with her kids.  It was funny and nice.  I like having that bond with women and having them appreciate my parenting skillz.  Because, as my boy said, I do have skillz.  Mad skillz.  :D  Then we laughed and sang and were downright silly all the way home.  I tried to capture some of the moments on my phone camera, but since P sits behind me, it wasn’t so much easy to do!img00108.jpg  img00113.jpg

The carpets were cleaned today – Matt was very excited to see all the hoses.  LOL.  It looks so fantastic!! And it stayed clean and fresh for almost 5 hours!! Preston wanted a go-gurt and for whatever reason refused to stay at the table, so, PLOP, purple yogurt right on the carpet.  6 inches aways from the hard floor.  Ah well.  Knew it wouldn’t last long, but I was hoping for more than 5 hours!!

I was able to clean the playroom today after the carpets were dry.  I had moved as much as possible out to get as much of the carpet clean as possible and instead of throwing it all back in, I took the opportunity to move some of it right on out of there and re-organized everything.  I love it when it’s so fresh and clean!

Well, I’d better get to bed.  I’ve got a TON to do between now and Saturday morning.  We’re having a little open house thingy party majobby thing in the afternoon and even though it’s just family and friends, I want the place to be somewhat clean!

I better get to bed because I am tired listening to what a busy day you had! WOW! But it sounds like you guys had a ton of fun! Its so wonderful when the kids are good… and I love that \"connect\" feeling with other women. I know what you mean. When you are right there… (I am so doing the finger motion… you know… right THERE.) Have fun with your Open House \"Thingy! Majobby!\" 🙂
