Why

  • Why can’t someone bottle the smell of summer? Not just the flowery stuff, but the combination of fresh air, sprinklers, trees, lilacs, geraniums, fresh cut grass and whatever else it is that makes it just scream summer to my nose.  It’s like I can’t breathe in enough of it.  (Oh, and a different bottle of that just-before-a-thunderstorm smell too, please!)
  • Why is it cuter when Preston copies his brother and asks why than when Matt asks?
  • Why is it that the boys seem to instinctively know when I have something to do after they go to bed? And why does that give them a second wind so that they stay up and I can’t??
  • Why is it only Wednesday?
  • Why do I keep buying the same magazine, even after I’ve read it? Seriously, like everytime I go to the grocery store, I buy new magazines and I swear the last two or three times I’ve gotten duplicates!  I am so desperate for reading material that I have to read stuff twice?!
  • It must be nice to have so much money that you can say “It’s never to early to go to Paris!”

You\'re a bookie, OTJ suggested an amazing book to me that I am just loving. The History of Love by Nicole Krauss. I adore it.
