She’s like the wind

LOL. 😀

Guess what I’m watching? Hint: I’m having the time of my life! ROFLMAO!!!!!! 😀

Mike is out drinking hanging out with the guys for his once a month “shoot” (they used to go skeet shooting, but someone was an idiot and they stopped the shooting portion of the shoot. So now they just go to the club and eat and drink and then hit the bar). I got the boys to bed a little after nine, got the house cleaned up (well, not the playroom – a freaking tornado hit in there!) and watched last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Then I plopped myself into bed with my laptop and Dirty Dancing. It’s funny, I haven’t really watched this movie in a looong time. It’s pretty cheesy, but it’s not altogether bad.

So I’m trying something new with Preston tonight. I doubt it will work, but anything is worth a try. I took this giant, super-soft elephant we have and put the t-shirt I wore all day on it and stuck it in his bed with him. I’m hoping it will give him the attachment he’s looking for so he’ll stay put in his own bed for a little while longer than usual. Like I said, I’m sure he’ll be crying for me any minute…well, as soon as I drift off to sleep anyway…but someday it would be nice to sleep in more the 3 inches of my king size bed. 😉

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be nice. I CAN’T WAIT!! I think the boys need some outside time as well. Can you say cabin fever?

A quick trip to IKEA helped my mood late this afternoon. I’m redoing my office backroom suddenly and I think some of the shelving they have there will be perfect. I may also be able to redo our filing system, so I’m pretty excited. The new blinds will be coming soon, K is working on finding the best deal on new carpet and new stuff in the back and front will make for some nice updates to the office. It feels good to FINALLY be able to do some things. The past couple of years have been a little touchy money wise, but things seem to be coming around, so I’m thinking now is the time to make some improvements. Oh, and after a patient said “what is up with your carpet?” the other day, it’s GOT to get done! LOL. Can you believe people? Seriously! I would never walk into her house and say that, what makes her think it’s ok to say in my office?? Oy.

Oh, and I’m going to attempt to surprise the staff with some of the changes. Little things excite them, and I love to surprise people! They’ll have to help with the filing changes, but since they were all about it a couple of months ago, I think it’ll be fine. Fun fun fun!!
