I don’t love you

That’s how my morning has gone, how about yours?

I hugged Matt and told him I loved him and he said “I don’t love you”.  Talk about a knife in the heart!  I, shocked, replied “Really? You don’t love me? Do you like me?”  His answer: “No.”

Yipe!

Luckily, my sweet and cuddly Preston woke up soon thereafter and giggled and hugged me and replied with his cute little yes! when I asked if he loved me.  😀

After bringing him a spectacular snack tray (when they are against breakfast or lunch, we have “snack trays” with an assortment of yummy stuff that they can…well….snack on)  ANYWAY, when asked if he loved his brother, he said he did and then said he loved me and Elly, too.  PHEW!!

Matt has been in kind of a strange mood for the past week or so.  Not sure if he’s going through some sort of growth thing or what.  Mike and I are trying to figure out how to get him some alone time with the 2 of us without P.  A bit impossible lately, but we’re working on it.  I also wonder if he’s just bored.  Not quite sure how to remedy that, but hopefully week after next will be better as our babysitter will be coming one more day per week.

The weather has been crappy and rainy lately and everyone around seems a bit on the cranky side, especially at my office.  I’m hoping the sun coming out tomorrow will make a difference. And I want to get on my bike!!

I guess I’m a little bored and cranky, too.  Hearing that my son doesn’t love me first thing in the morning makes for kind of a crappy day.  Maybe later will be better.
