Holy crap. What a day so far. I’m taking 2 minutes to blog before I scream and run from the house. I’ve been trying to get some exercise in since 8am. 4 flippin hours. So far I have accomplished 6 minutes of a Yoga/Pilates Crunch video, 2 minutes of warm-up, run upstairs to let the dog out, run back downstairs, 3 minutes of walking, run upstairs to let the dog in, run back downstairs, 2 minutes of running, 5 minutes of soothing a fallen child, and finally, finished my 20 minutes on the treadmill. Effective? Doubt it. It barely even counts, as I don’t even feel like I worked out! Oh, and my bowflex workout? Yeah, non-existent since Matt wouldn’t get off it. I finally carried both boys up screaming (me, not them) and crying (Matt, not me) and walked out on the deck for a breath of fresh air and to center myself.
Of course, they followed.
Who taught them to open the doorwall, anyway?
A quick chat with a similarly frustrated neighbor and here we are. Well, here I am. The boys, having been stripped naked and changed from pjs to clothes outside, are playing on the deck in the sandbox. I am certain an eruption will happen soon, but until them, I am savoring the sound of nothing but the clickety-clack of my keyboard.
Maybe later I’ll get on the bowflex.
And ride my bike.
And escape for a little while.
You know, it’s hard to be a fitness buff when you can’t actually get fit.
I can’t wait for my babysitter to come back to 2 days a week!!!!!!!

Isn\'t that always the way? I swear to god that my intentions to work out 5 days a week just don\'t happen because of one kid\'s schedule or the other. I would love to do yoga at home, but between two kids, you don\'t get a half hour straight to yourself. I cherish the 15 min showers I take at night because I lock the doors and I can\'t hear anything and hubby has to deal with the drama. And by the time the kids are in bed, I am too tired to do anything but sit or go to bed myself! But fear not, we will get some time to ourselves again eventually- can you say school?!!!

My kids are on \"spring break\" this week and I could NOT convince them to take the car and go to Florida on their own (grrr.) so they are here… in my HOUSE! The gall.
