I’m on a beach…

February 4, 2007 · 6 comments

the hot sun beating on me, sound of surf in my ears, someone’s crazy-loud toddler screaming down the beach….

wait.

that’s my kid. screaming in the playroom. again. no reason, no rhyme (can’t the kid at least rap or sing or something?!). just screaming.  mommmmmeeeeeeeeeee.  Nothing I do helps. wait, it helps push my buttons and piss me off. i understand tired. (come on, i’m the mother of 2 for crying out loud!!).  i understand pain.  i understand boredom, lack of privacy and being at sixes and sevens. i do. really.  what i don’t understand is screaming for the sake of screaming when you can speak.

meanwhile, the other one is crashing cars, eating, flying his mr. bear and being all together silly and adorable.

not fair.

Around here I say this a lot: \"It\'s not that I don\'t hear what you\'re saying, honey. It\'s that I am choosing to ignore. If you care to repeat another 100 times, that\'s your business.\"
