You Can’t Always Get What You Want

Apple finally officially announces their entry into the mobile phone world and it doesn’t help me AT ALL. Apparently they’ve chose Cingular as their carrier. Bunch of junk!! 🙄 Here’s the article about it for those interested. Wonder how many people will join up / switch to cingular for this? I’m certainly tempted!

ETA @ 10:25pm:  HERE  is a better showing of the Apple Phone.  Holy cool, batman!! I want it.  I want it NOW.  😀

(I was going to do a new blog, but the song title was perfect, as I just watched House.) Totally ended up being a good episode, especially at the end. I was afraid that some of the things that have happened were going to change House and I was a little worried.  Gladly, he is still who he is and the show is still wonderful.  That stupid part is that the next new episode isn’t for 3 weeks!  No new ones for a month, then a single show, then 3 weeks more?  JUNK. I realize that this sounds all secretive, but really, I’d just hate to spoil the show for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet!

Our boys (ok, Matt) says things that are probably wildly inappropriate for many parents out there. I’m not crazy about them either, but in the world of a 3 year old ‘choose your battles’ is more important than anything.  There will be time later (and now, don’t get me wrong, we still try) to instill the importance of appropriate times and places for some things and words, but for now, I console myself with the simple thought that at least he’s not swearing.  :)  Wanna know the words and things he’s doing? Just ask!!  😛

We got our new furniture today!!  Woohoooooo!  The room seems a little smaller, but I thought it would, especially with two chairs instead of a couch.  It’s really nice and super comfy.  The guys who delivered it were hilarious. It was a nice change of pace, since most delivery guys are all surly and want to get out as quick as they can.  These guys were talking about their kids, singing and generally joking around the whole time.  And I even got them to haul our old couch out to the garage!  😉

I put on my pedometer today (not until after 11am) and I walked about 5,200 steps just around the house.  Idiot that I am, I took it off before I got on the treadmill for a warm-up before strength training, but at least it was only 3 minutes of steps I missed out counting!  I’ll put it on first thing tomorrow and we’ll see how it goes! Apparently there is a website out there that I can track my numbers and compete with people. LOL.  There is a website for everything these days, isn’t there?
