Buh-bye Christmas!

So, here I sit, after midnight the day after (the day after that, now) Christmas. Our gatherings are done, our responsibilities finished. The presents have all been opened, the turkey eaten, the cookies crumbled..er…whatever. No snow was to be found anywhere in this neck of the woods and it put a serious damper on my post-holiday-I-still-want-it-to-be-Christmas-spirit. We actually took our family room Christmas tree down tonight when we got home from dinner. First time ever we’ve done it on the 26th. It’s not the holiday so much as the clutter and disorganization that was putting us over the edge this time. And since we took the tree down, I was able to break in my handy new carpet cleaner and we rearranged the family room! 🙂

Poor Preston and Matthew – they are both ALL OF A SUDDEN sick. Seriously, Matt fell asleep in the car today and woke up with a completely stuffed up head and nose. I mean, I know they have to come sometime, but I’ve never seen it actually happen! And now neither of them can breathe and sleep is going to be hard to come by.

I have lots of stuff to tell you about the holiday and presents and such, but given the sudden sorry state of their health, I’d best get some sleep.

Before I do though, I want you to see what I’ve been typing on: macbook Ok, well, I didn’t link it right because my brain is asleep, but it’s a new MacBook – widescreen, clear as waterford crystal and so damn slick I can’t even stand it! More later
