Happy Birthday to ME!

December 4, 2006 · 12 comments

Today I turned 33 years old… I feel no different than yesterday 😀 In honor of this auspicious occasion, I shall bore you with a list of 33 things I’ve done in my life… in complete random order as they pop into my head…this could be tedious…. 🙂 Never mind – that was absurdly boring even to me!! How about the soundtrack of my life? This might be interesting…

The Soundtrack of My Life:

1. Open your library on your Zen or Ipod or other MP3 player
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question type the song that’s playing.
5. When you go to a new question press the next button.

  • Opening Credits: Rodeo – Garth Brooks
  • Waking Up: Breakaway – Kelly Clarkson
  • Falling In Love: Push – Matchbox Twenty
  • Fight Song: ‘Til I Found You – Susan Tedeschi (seems like this should be switched with above!)
  • Breaking Up: Life is a Highway – Rascal Flatts – roffle!!
  • Making Up: Are You Happy Now? Michelle Branch
  • Life’s Ok: My Baby Love Me – Martina McBride 😀
  • Mental Breakdown: Breathe – Michelle Branch (2 Michelle Branch songs?!)
  • Driving: Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go – Pussycat Dolls
  • Flashbacks: Sweet Emotion – Aerosmith
  • Happy Dance: Sweet Home Alabama – Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • Regret:The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia – Reba McEntire – woot!
  • Final Battle: That’s The Way Love Goes – Janet Jackson
  • Death Scene: Real Gone – Sheryl Crow
  • Final Credits: Crush – Jennifer Paige (not so sure about this one…) 😀

So today, the wise and wonderful one and I went shopping! What fun to buy for the boys – seriously, we were out of control and loving it! Toys and books and games, oh my! Do they need so much stuff? Nope. Do I care? Nope. I want to give them so much fun stuff! And don’t worry, along with the totally play-only toys are plenty of educational items. My boys are pretty smart, I’d like to keep it that way! Now, if I could just figure out what to get my hubby! (Not like I’d post it here; keep dreaming my love!)

Here is what Matthew made for me today while we were out shopping:

Pretty slick, eh? No, I have no idea what it is either! 🙂 I also got a sweet new keychain like this, and the traditional German Chocolate Cake from my mom-in-law.

Mike was trying very hard to find a Nintendo Wii for me for my birthday, but alas, there are none to be found anywhere! Apparently stores had them yesterday, but that obviously did me no good today!! He did make me my favorite Chicken Enchiladas and I got a little veg out time after we got home, so all in all, a nice day!!

Happy Birthday Dawn! I was staring at Matt\'s creation for quite a while trying to figure out what it was. Is that styrofoam and is that floam at the bottom? He looks a bit like \"Towlie\" from South Park.

Happy Birthday! Mine\'s in 23 days… yeah… the big 30….. hahaha… I\'m exactly where I want to be in life by age 30…. a 16 month old and one on the way!!! Yeah, we are trying to get a hold of a Wii system too, seems impossible. Don\'t the companies realize how much money they are missing by not releasing more of them. It\'s the consumers that are making out, the ones that are selling them on EBAY for big bucks!

Happy Birthday girl!! Glad you had a good one! At first glance I thought that Matt\'s creation was a toothbrush holder!! Maybe I should put my new glasses on huh? 🙂

Eh, no one knows what it is exactly, but there is a fuzzy pipe cleaner thingy on top that looks like a toothbrush!
