Strange things afoot at the Bullseye

The boys and I hit Target today for our usual shopping errands – this time we needed some stuff for Thanksgiving and a gift for the little girl next door. The boys have been great all day – Preston is a wee bit cranky, as he’s most probably working on getting his eyeteeth in or some molars or something – but for the most part, they’ve been good. Anyway, I get them in the car and get our packages in the back and I see this lady talking to someone parked a couple spots away through her window. I know right away that they aren’t friends, as the window was barely rolled down. When the lady drives away I see a very familiar old, beat up green Escort with a guy at the wheel and a little blonde girl in the back. Sure enough, as I’m strapping in Matt, she approaches me. You may remember that the same thing happened to me back in August so when she says ‘I hate to bother you’ I immediately responded with “Let me guess, your husband left his wallet at home and you don’t have enough gas to get there”. She barely missed a beat, so I was impressed! But she replied with some story about her husband not knowing how to get somewhere and so I told her how to get there and that it was about 1/2 hour away. She pretends that she completely shocked and appalled at the time. So I tell her, ‘Yep, turn left and you’ll get there’. They ended up pulling out just a car length in front of me and just for fun, we followed them. ๐Ÿ˜€ Only a couple of blocks, then they pulled into a gas station (but not to the pumps). ๐Ÿ˜€ Hehehehe. Seriously, if you were lost would you hang out in the Target parking lot for directions? Nope. Called her bluff, but man, was she quick on her feet.

Good for you!! I hate those people!! People that take advantage of others that way are the scum of the earth! Great job calling her bluff, let\'s hope it makes her think twice about what she\'s doing- though sadly I\'m sure it won\'t.
