WOOOHOOOOO! What a fantastic game last night!! It looked pretty bleak at CoPa for the first few innings, but the boys pulled a win out of no where yet again in the bottom of the 8th. With 41,000+ people there, the stadium was LOUD and crazy – it was awesome! There is nothing better than thousands of happy fans watching a good game on a beautiful summer night. And at the end of it all, they put on a SPECTACULAR fireworks show! Not a bad way to spend Mike’s birthday, if you ask me!
Of course, I do wonder where about 30,000 of those people have been for the past few years. Us? We’ve been in the stands, win or lose. I know a winning team draws a lot of people in, but it always amazes me how fast they come and go.
When we got home, Matt was up. And when I say up, I mean wide awake. Until like 2am. Finally I just got into his bed with him and fell asleep, and when I woke up he was out. He slept the entire time we were gone and then wanted to play and read and everything at midnight. We should have just let him tire himself back out playing instead of putting him to bed and having him be hyper. Lesson learned!
Preston, on the other hand, slept very well and went to bed on time. 🙂
Today, M & M are at the Air Show checking out old military planes. P and I hit the grocery store and had some lunch and are now getting ready to clean out some cupboards and closets. Yippeeee!!!
