Lack of time, not motivation

It's not that I don't have any thing to blog about.  It's not that I don't want to. It's simply that I haven't been able to find the time these past few days.  Take, for example, Thursday night… I was on my way home from the gym, jammin out to some 80s tunes on Sirius and I had a bunch of blog-thoughts.  As soon as I walked in the door, however, I was met by my frustrated husband and the sounds of one screaming child.  P. is teething and apparently had been screaming bloody murder for 45 minutes prior to my arrival.  So, out went my blog thoughts and in came the 'how the hell do I get this kid to stop screaming' thoughts. Needless to say, by the time that was over, I was too tired to blog.

Friday I had good intentions, many a blog thought, but for whatever reason, couldn't get to the computer.

Yesterday we were just plain busy. 😀  So here I am, but I feel my blogging is about to be cut short, as the boys have been playing nicely together for a while now and that is something that only lasts until one of them (usually P) gets hurt.

My neighbors 2 houses down had an entire (what I am assuming) english garden put in yesterday in about 4 hours. A crew of mexican workers showed up about 4 and by 8 they were piling into their van and trucks and heading out. We're talking sod removal, about 5 good sized trees, a zillion boxwood bushes and a bunch of roses. Not to mention fresh dirt and mulch. Seriously, I have to jump on the immigration thing here – there is no way that 8 americans, regardless of color, race, creed, whatever, would have gotten that job done that fast.  I've watched the work crews around here (our sub is pretty new), and I tell you, those guys are amazing.  It's not racist, it's fact.  Can you imagine what kind of country we would have if more of us had that kind of work ethic? Hmmm….

It's another gorgeous day in Michigan – mostly sunny and going to be about 70 degrees.  Slightly cool for June, but I would take sunny and 70 every day of the year if I could. Seriously, I don't need snow. Sure, maybe I'd miss it around Christmas, but after 32 years of snow in my life, I'm good.  🙂

Well, the laundry is calling my name and the boys are looking for breakfast, so I shall bid you goodbye for now.  Have a lovely day! 😀
