Sometimes I forget

that I hate Babies R Us. We've had so many not-great experiences there, but then I forget and go back anyway. Today I decided that it was time to get rid of the high chair (a cause for many a meltdown in our house) and just get a secondary booster seat. So, I picked out this lovely wooden Eddie Bauer one and tossed it in the cart. Imagine my shock and dismay and downright annoyance when I went to pull it out and realized that not only had the box been opened, but it had been USED. That's right. Someone put their child in this seat, fed them, probably more than once, and then RETURNED IT! Now, how do I know? BECAUSE THERE ARE FOOD REMNANTS!!!!! Freaking disgusting. Now I have to go back to BRU, return it and hope for the best with the next one. Come on people, when someone returns something, don't you look at it? Ugh. I guess the highchair will go away another day.

In other news, we interviewed a babysitter yesterday to come out 2 days a week so I can go to work (and the gym and run errands… 😀 ) She's supposed to call back with a decision today – oddly, it's her decision not ours, since she lives in Grosse Ile and anyone who is from around here knows you can't get there from here. In fact, she got lost on her way home from here yesterday!! So we'll see.

I say the same thing about Best Buy, I love to hate it. It seems we always are drawn to the store, since we are Mr. & Mrs. Gadget, but the service stinks, nobody knows anything, and they try and shove warranty\'s down your throat, but we still go back?!?
