Happy New Year!
Less than one hour from post-time here, it will be a new year. 2006. Man, when I was a kid, I didn't really believe we would ever leave the 1980s, let alone make it into the 2000s. Of course, 30 year-olds were O-L-D then, too.

I am glad that so many are going to put the bad times behind them and start fresh in the new year – sometimes all we need to get back into a good place is a new date on the ol calendar. Hmmm…perhaps the new year magic will be magically for my son and his sleep habits…..

Anyway, I didn't have too bad of a 2005. Let's recap, shall we?

2005 – Year in Review

– Found out we were having baby#2 (hereby referred to as Peanut or Little Man)
– Bought out of my franchise agreement, made many cuts and changes around the office (including not paying myself for months), got reinstated to the insurance company we needed and are nearly thriving. Had the place painted and refreshed. Had the usual employee ups and downs, but seem to be on track as of this exact moment.
– Went to Chicago for my cousin's wedding and got to visit with the girls
– Had to deal with failed glucose tests, Gest. diabetes scare and many doctor visits
– Went to the Home Run Derby, Fan Fest and All Star Game (sa-weet)
– Got our bathroom shower fixed finally
– Had Peanut
– Got the lovely hives from adhesive / antibiotic allergies after c-section
– Visited the xray unit of the hospital for the first time for Peanut at 2 weeks old
– And that's about the most of it….probably missing something, but ah well. And of course, all of the usual stuff – ate, drank, worked, talked, shopped, etc. And no, I didn't forget to put slept on that list.

Seems like a pretty boring year in writing.

So, my goals for next year are simple and seemingly easy. Of course, that's easy to right and hard to implement, but will give it the old college try, right? RIGHT!

My list of goals / resolutions as it stands at this moment:

* Eat better
* Drink way more water
* Drink way less soda
* Sleep more (meaning go to bed earlier)
* Get boys to sleep better, some way, some how, but at least work on better routines
* Not go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink
* Keep up on laundry
* Keep up on housecleaning so it's not overwhelming
* Be more organized (new Palm should help that!)
* Be more organized at work (new file cabinet should help that!)
* Exercise (I'd say more, but I'd have to be doing it now to say that!)
* Read more
* Watch less tv
* Scrapbook more
* Listen to more music
* Come up with a good work routine and stick with it
* Wash my face and brush my teeth EVERY night
* Get Small Fry potty-trained
* Get rid of Small Fry's pacifier
* Improve my photography skills
* Give more full attention to my boys
* Blog more

Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? Mostly, though, they're small changes and not all of them are done on my own, so I think I can pull it off. I'll check back throughout 2006 and keep you updated on my progress!

Well, I've got some stuff to do, so I'll sign off now. I wish you all the happiest of the new year!!! Hope to see some more activity around here, too!!!
