The world is coming!

LOL. Detroit wants volunteers to help clean up the city to make a good impression on the people coming for the All Star Game festivities next month. A shiny turd is still a turd. Too little, too late if you ask me. Besides, it's not going to fool anyone. Detroit has a horrible rep, and having a few successful sporting events is not going to change the opinion of the majority. Don't get me wrong, the ballpark and stadium are beautiful, but go 3 blocks in any direction and make sure your doors are locked and you've got the pedal to the metal!! Sad, but true.

I feel huge.

My boy is jumping into the terrible twos with both feet. He's begun these evening tantrums that apparently make sense only to the toddler mind, and not a bit of sense to his parents. But, that's the way it goes. We work to keep ourselves calm, ignore the silly tantrums and calm him through the serious ones. I'm guessing he won't go to college having them, so at least an end is in sight!

I hate heartburn. It's stupid.

I find it ridiculous and impossible to plan an event over 5 months away when I can't plan something 5 days away.

I want a pool. A real pool.

Kwame is a whole string of bad words that I don't think are allowed here at the bagel. "Continue standing strong for Detroit"??? New parks and roads and neighborhoods? Heaven help you if you need police or fire help in those new places!!

Crazy coffins – designed for people who loved life. Um…..

I failed my one hour glucose tolerance test. Now I have to take the dumb 3 hour one. Buncha crap. But, hey, gotta make sure all will be well with me and the babe. The orange stuff isn't too bad – tastes like Faygo Orange. Course, if you aren't from around here, you don't what that is!!!!

If your coach tells you NOT to do something, generally, there is a reason. Nice job, Rasheed.
